Innovative Methodology of Effective Teaching of Poomsae Movements to Taekwondoists with Intellectual Disabilities

in this article, an innovative methodology for effectively teaching poomsae movements to taekwondo athletes with intellectual disabilities was developed and its effectiveness was tested in practical experience. The methodology was based on visual-demonstrative modeling, block-learning technology, multisensory approach, gamification and feedback system. The research process was conducted for 8 weeks with the participation of 12 athletes. According to the results, the experimental group showed significantly higher results than the control group in terms of correct execution of the technique, coordination and concentration (p < 0.05). The results confirmed the high efficiency of this methodology for use in the training of athletes with intellectual disabilities
