Annotatsiya

This article examines Jadidism as a reformist movement and analyzes its socio-political and scientific dimensions in Turkestan in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The study explores the ideological foundations of Jadidism, focusing on the efforts of Jadid intellectuals to modernize education, promote scientific knowledge, and raise social and political consciousness among the local population. Particular attention is given to the role of Jadid thinkers in advocating national identity, cultural renewal, and social reform under colonial conditions. The article also highlights the contributions of Jadids to the development of journalism, literature, and educational institutions, as well as their engagement with contemporary scientific ideas. By assessing the historical significance of Jadidism, the study demonstrates its lasting impact on the intellectual, social, and political transformation of Turkestan and its importance in shaping modern national thought.
