This article examines the main types of mass media and their role in shaping modern society. It analyzes traditional and digital forms of media, including print press, radio, television, and internet-based platforms. The study explores the informational, educational, cultural, and persuasive functions of mass media, as well as their influence on public opinion and social development. Special attention is given to the transformation of media systems under conditions of globalization and technological progress. The article concludes that mass media remain one of the most significant instruments of communication, continuously adapting to the changing needs of audiences and the digital environment.
