Annotatsiya

Color vocabulary plays a critical role in both linguistic and cognitive processes, reflecting cultural perceptions and semantic categorization. This study examines the semantic and structural features of color designation in English, Uzbek, and Russian languages. Using comparative linguistic analysis, the research identifies cross-linguistic similarities and differences in color terms, explores the relationship between linguistic structure and perception, and investigates the impact of cultural factors on color naming. The results demonstrate that while basic color categories are largely universal, each language exhibits unique structural patterns, metaphorical extensions, and cultural connotations. These findings have implications for language teaching, translation studies, and cross-cultural communication.
