The use of plants for medicine has gradually been refined over the generations and has become known in many countries as traditional medicine. According to WHO(2000), traditional medicine encompasses the total of knowledge,skills and practices based on the beliefs and experiences of indigenous to different cultures, whether explicable or not, used in the maintenance of health, as well as in the prevention, diagnoses, improvement or treatment of physical and mental illness. Over 80 % of the world`s population depends on medicinal plants for better health
